Community Supported Agriculture is a system that directly connects a community to their farmer. Members of the community can buy a share of the farm before the season starts and in exchange get to enjoy fresh vegetables from the farm all season. The upfront payment helps the farmer cover costs associated with running the farm (seeds, compost, labor, etc). CSA members essentially become shareholders of the farm, thus taking on some of the risks (unpredictable weather) but also reaping the rewards (delicious, nutritious, fresh vegetables). Members get to know exactly how their food is grown, where it's grown, and the farmer's ethics. Learn more about CSA's here: https://www.localharvest.org/csa/
Vegetables we are growing this season include: lettuce, arugula, carrots, beets, radishes, turnips, kale, collards, bok choi, green beans, broccolini, cauliflower, cabbage, green onion, peppers, tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers, microgreens, herbs, and more. Our CSA subscription lasts 34 weeks, beginning October 17th and ending June 6th. Find out more below!
We do not offer full customization on our CSA share but if there are particular items that you don't enjoy then we can accommodate. We encourage you to try new vegetables we include in the share and feel free to reach out to us for recipes or ideas.
If you're going to be out of town, you can request to skip a week and get double produce the following week or add an extra week to the end of your subscription. You can request this up to 3 times during the subscription but you must make this request a week in advance. You can also have a friend or family take your share for you if you can't make it for your pick up or delivery. Also we can donate your share to a community fridge if you'd like.
If you're not home during the delivery window then we will leave your share at your doorstep. It's best to get your vegetables inside and refrigerated as soon as possible to keep them fresh, so keep this in mind if you won't be home during our delivery window. If you want peak freshness then we suggest leaving a cooler out before delivery that we can leave your share in.
CSA shares are not refundable once purchased.
